About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bridge Inspection Team Leader to join our Structural Assessment team at Consor Engineers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading inspections in the field to ensure the safety and integrity of bridges and other infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead inspections of assigned bridges and prepare detailed reports on the conditions of the structures.
  • Perform and lead in-depth inspections using non-destructive testing methods, mechanized access equipment, and/or climbing gear.
  • Conduct post-incident bridge inspections to determine the severity of damage and recommend appropriate actions for bridge closures and detours.
  • Coordinate with bridge owners and other agencies on inspection schedules, traffic control, railroad access, and navigational channels.
  • Lead teams and groups in Structural Assessment, providing guidance and instruction on proper and efficient methods of accomplishing tasks.
Requirements
  • Ability to lead the work of others and maintain proper working relationships.
  • Possess knowledge of bridge inspection methods and procedures.
  • Experience with report procedures and National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS).
  • Ability to perform inspections in the field with various means of access.
  • ADC Diver certification or SPRAT level 1 or higher is a plus.
