The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the manufacturing process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. This role involves managing production schedules, quality assurance, and fostering a positive work environment.

Key Duties:

  • Supervise daily production activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality benchmarks.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assess work orders for upcoming projects.
  • Create and update monthly production schedules, addressing any potential delays proactively.
  • Oversee the management of parts orders and inventory for ongoing projects.
  • Ensure compliance with client standards throughout all production tasks.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the production process.
  • Enhance team morale and culture by actively engaging with production staff.
  • Communicate key performance indicators related to plant output to relevant stakeholders.

Management Duties:

  • Establish and manage production schedules, including planning and procurement.
  • Ensure accuracy in tracking production hours and efficiency metrics.
  • Responsible for maintaining productivity levels and a safe working environment.

Required Skills:

  • Utilize expertise to lead and develop a team in executing production schedules effectively.
  • Communicate clear expectations and performance metrics to all team members.
  • Motivate team performance and address issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate effectively with other management and leadership personnel.
  • Pursue ongoing enhancements in all operational aspects.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree with five years of experience in manufacturing supervision or management.
  • Knowledge of truck mechanics, repair, and fabrication processes is preferred; experience in the truck upfitting sector is advantageous.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead presentations and facilitate meetings.
  • Problem-solving skills with the capacity to interpret instructions effectively.
  • Proficient in database management, inventory systems, and office software applications.
