Job Title: Medical Professional - Surgical Unit

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Professional to join our Surgical Unit team at Central Maine Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse surgical patient population in a 37-bed unit with a high patient turnover.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Support a team environment, often with assistance available for IV starts.
  • Float to all inpatient units as needed, ensuring seamless care delivery.
  • Utilize specialty beds, wound vacs, prevena vacs, and Baxter IV Pumps to provide optimal patient care.
  • Work with systems such as Omnicell and Cerner for medication, documentation, and patient care management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical unit.
  • Active nursing license and certifications as required.
  • Experience with Cerner and Omnicell systems.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on patient-centered care.
