Job Title: Speech Pathologist

Join our team at Loma Linda University Medical Center as a Speech Pathologist in our East Campus Hospital, Rehabilitation Outpatient department. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to provide advanced patient care and contribute to our mission of continuing the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Speech Pathologist to provide evaluations, goal setting, treatment planning, family training, and the application of treatment techniques in accordance with designated practice act and department policy and procedure. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Speech Pathology or Communicative Disorders and at least one year of experience in a Medical Speech Pathology or Rehabilitation setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide inpatient care as per physician's orders
  • Supervise non-CCS paneled staff as requested
  • Participate in case conferences and discharge planning meetings
  • Work with the program coordinator, case manager, and/or MTU/school representative to communicate and coordinate recommendations for ongoing therapy and equipment needs upon discharge
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Speech Pathology or Communicative Disorders
  • One year of experience in a Medical Speech Pathology or Rehabilitation setting
  • Current Speech Pathology licensure
  • American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certification and Basic Life Support certification
  • CCS-Paneled required if assigned to Pediatric Rehabilitation or fulfill CCS paneling requirements within twelve months from hire date
