JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- A minimum of a high school diploma is required.
- Preferred candidates will have certification or be in the process of obtaining certification from the Association of Professional Chaplains and/or hold accreditation from a Lutheran Theology institution or possess Ordination.
Experience:
- Prior experience in a healthcare environment is advantageous.
WORK SCHEDULE:
This role is part-time, with hours varying to accommodate the needs of the organization.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of this role is to establish a spiritual and religious framework while providing personal counseling and guidance to residents, their families, and staff members. The Spiritual Care Coordinator will offer emotional and spiritual support to residents, families, and employees. The incumbent will foster ongoing relationships with local Lutheran congregations and clergy to promote their engagement and participation in our ministry and spiritual initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, implement, assess, and oversee the spiritual services within the organization.
- Adhere to the guidelines outlined in the Spiritual Care Guide.
- Exhibit responsibility, accountability, and reliability in all tasks.
- Provide recommendations for necessary supplies and equipment.
- Communicate any issues to the management.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure cohesive service delivery.
