Job Summary

The Bi-Lingual Career Counselor will provide case coordination and management to individuals with multiple barriers to education and employment. The successful candidate will utilize assessments, planning, and related activities to support participants in achieving their career goals. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with program staff and participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct eligibility determinations and certify participants using program guidelines.
  • Assist participants in determining their career pathway by analyzing their skills, interests, and aptitudes.
  • Develop individualized education plans to identify short-term and long-term objectives and monitor progress.
  • Track and report participant support services funds and training accounts to management.
  • Counsel participants in career planning and job search strategies.
  • Facilitate the creation of viable long-term career goals.
  • Provide comprehensive case management and career counseling services.
  • Follow-up with participants to assess their job search progress.

Requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in employment counseling and/or case management.
  • Ability to work with and support a diverse customer base.
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Services, Education, or Business Management.

Work Environment
