Key Responsibilities:

A reinforcement steel fabricator at Nucor Harris Rebar will be responsible for bending, cutting, bundling, and loading steel reinforcement bars according to customer specifications. You will receive training from a mentor on the safe operation of all machinery.

Candidates should be prepared to work in an outdoor setting. Previous experience in construction or landscaping is highly valued; individuals with a background in trades often excel in this position and may find significant opportunities for growth within the company.

Specific Duties Include:

• Unloading trailers and organizing materials in designated storage areas.

• Operating shearing machines or power saws to cut steel bars to required lengths.

• Utilizing bending machines to shape steel bars as specified.

• Maneuvering overhead cranes to assemble and select materials for fabrication or shipment.

• Preparing and loading orders onto trailers for delivery.

• Applying epoxy touch-ups to reinforcing steel bars using a spray gun.

• Keeping the workspace or assigned area clean and safe.

Minimum Qualifications:


• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• This position is safety-sensitive; candidates must pass a drug screening, including THC

• Availability to work overtime as needed

Your Skills:


• Ability to read and understand basic safety and operational guidelines

• Proficiency in basic mathematics for accurate measurements of bars

Physical Requirements:


• Capability to perform some heavy lifting

• Working conditions may involve exposure to noise, dust, heat, and cold
