DispatchHealth is Hiring Medical Technicians

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Medical Technicians to join our clinical team in Richmond, VA. As a Medical Technician with DispatchHealth, you will work directly with our Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants in our CLIA certified mobile laboratory, providing daily patient care and gaining valuable experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work under the supervision of licensed NP/PA providers
  • Perform patient assessment and monitoring, vital signs, IV starts, and blood draws (as permitted by state law)
  • Apply splints and provide wound care
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain point of care laboratory equipment
  • Assist NP/PAs in daily functions of a mobile care delivery emergency unit
  • Supply and stock medical equipment
Requirements:
  • Current EMT certification
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a core science or lab science
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in chemistry and hematology, especially with experience using an i-STAT device
