Position Summary

The Engineer, under the guidance of the Director of Engineering and Plant Engineer, plays a crucial role in achieving the engineering objectives and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. In the absence of senior management, supervise the Maintenance Departments at both facilities and align activities with the requirements of various departments.
  2. Execute Project Engineering tasks.
  3. Manage engineering projects effectively.
  4. Assess facility issues, devise solutions, and recommend enhancements for operational efficiency.
  5. Draft detailed specifications, prepare and analyze bid proposals in collaboration with the Purchasing Department.
  6. Generate internal requisitions for necessary tools, equipment, and repairs following company purchasing protocols.
  7. Design and create Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings for replacement parts and facility layouts.
  8. Stay informed and comply with regulatory requirements impacting operations.
  9. Assist in preparing regulatory documentation under the direction of senior engineering staff.
  10. Maintain comprehensive project files, including history and specifications of facilities and equipment.
  11. Oversee the inventory and sales of surplus assets, including the development of sales tools.
  12. Perform additional tasks as assigned by senior management.
Goals and Objectives
  1. Collect data to create designs aimed at reducing operational and maintenance costs.
  2. Respond promptly to the needs of various departments regarding facilities and equipment.
  3. Achieve proficiency in CAD and SolidWorks software.
  4. Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) for plant operations.
  5. Label process lines once PFDs are established.
  6. Research automation opportunities for developed processes.
  7. Collaborate with maintenance to compile equipment lists for each process.
  8. Meet assigned performance targets.
