Job Summary

The Cinema Systems Engineer will provide expertise in digital cinema projection and sound systems, ensuring the best motion picture presentations for Regal theatres. This role involves installing, maintaining, repairing, and upgrading digital cinema projection and sound systems, as well as collaborating with theatre management to advance their knowledge and proficiency in digital cinema operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide immediate service to correct equipment problems in emergencies
  • Conduct preventative maintenance service calls twice a year per theatre
  • Work with the Regional Director and Vice President of Technical Services on digital cinema system design and implementation
  • Supervise third-party equipment installation, repair, or removal
  • Travel to other regions to assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of digital cinema systems
  • Communicate effectively with equipment manufacturers to resolve equipment problems
Requirements
  • Must have a degree in electronics or a related field with 2-5 years of projection booth and operations experience
  • Must have a high electrical and mechanical aptitude and critical listening skills
  • Must be proficient with computer software and hardware, including Oscilloscopes, Audio Spectrum Analyzers, and electrical multi-meters
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of digital cinema systems and computer network infrastructure
Preferred Qualifications
  • CompTIA Net+ and A+ certifications
  • An electrical license
  • A valid driver's license and a road-worthy vehicle
