Medical Billing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our team at ImageCare Radiology. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and submitting medical claims to insurance companies, as well as managing patient accounts and resolving any billing issues that may arise.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing and coding principles, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will be able to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance companies
- Manage patient accounts and resolve any billing issues that may arise
- Communicate with patients and insurance companies to resolve any billing discrepancies
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims to minimize delays and denials
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; specialized schooling or on-the-job training in medical billing and coding preferred
- At least 10 years of experience in medical billing and coding; eClinicalWorks and staff management experience a plus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines
