Apartment Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team at The Phoenix Staffing. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall maintenance of our properties, ensuring that all physical aspects meet our established standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair various aspects of the property, including plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling, carpentry, appliances, painting, and drywall.
  • Prepare vacant units for new residents, ensuring they meet our company standards and checklist.
  • Maintain the exterior grounds of the property and conduct seasonal duties such as pool maintenance.
  • Conduct regular walk-throughs to ensure everything is in working order and take corrective action as needed.
  • Schedule outside contractors for projects, if necessary.
  • Be available for on-call duties and respond promptly to service requests.
  • Attend staff meetings and perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Manager, or Property Manager.

Requirements:

  • Administrative skills to track materials and sign-in/sign-out unit keys.
  • Analytical skills to troubleshoot maintenance requests and consider alternative methods/materials.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with residents and property staff.
  • Coordinating skills to prioritize tasks and service requests.
  • Manual skills for cleaning, snow removal, and groundskeeping.
  • Maintenance skills for plumbing, electric, heating/cooling, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, and drywall.
  • Other skills for confidentiality, customer service, carpet cleaning, and paint equipment repair/maintenance.
