Advastar, Inc. | Recruiting & Staffing is seeking a skilled Tank Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for performing onsite evaluations of customer's tank assets, developing and communicating written reports, and collaborating with estimators, project management, and outside sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough onsite tank evaluations to identify potential issues and recommend repairs.
  • Develop detailed written reports outlining observations and repair recommendations.
  • Work closely with estimators to create accurate labor and material estimates for recommended repairs.
  • Support project management on service projects, ensuring timely completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other construction team members to execute service/maintenance jobs, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in general construction knowledge, with a focus on tank-related inspections.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience inspecting bolted tanks or API 653 certification, with a strong understanding of tank construction and maintenance.
  • ROV experience is a plus, demonstrating your ability to work at heights and in challenging environments.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to prepare detailed sketches, layouts, and reports.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, estimators, and project management.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, ensuring accurate and efficient execution of projects.

The position demands physical activity, including climbing and working from elevated heights up to 150 feet. Up to 90% travel (primarily domestic) may be required, with opportunities to work on a variety of projects and with different customers.
