Railcar Repair Technician

As a Railcar Repair Technician at Cummings Technical Services, you will be responsible for learning and applying basic MIG welding knowledge to assist in general rail car repair operations. Your duties will include supporting the handling of materials during repairs, operating shop equipment and mechanical hand tools, and performing limited welding under close supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in rail car repair operations
- Support the handling of materials during repairs
- Operate shop equipment and mechanical hand tools
- Perform limited welding under close supervision
- Contribute to routine maintenance work
- Develop basic skills in car repair through on-the-job experience
Requirements:
- High school or equivalent (preferred)
- 1 year of MIG welding experience (required)
- 1 year of mechanic experience (preferred)
Work Schedule:
8 hour shift, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime.
License/Certification:
Driver's License
