Lead Barista

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead, Barista to join our team at SpartanNash. As a key member of our Coffee Shop team, you will be responsible for directing and supervising the activities of all Coffee Shop associates to provide exceptional customer service and achieve sales and profit goals.

• Manage inventory control to ensure freshness and quality of products.
• Verify receivables and store products in appropriate areas.
• Brew, mix, and blend beverages according to set standards.
• Train others to perform department activities and functions, including suggestive selling techniques.
• Supervise and manage the selection, scheduling, and performance of others to meet or exceed departmental productivity levels.
• Have in-depth knowledge of all products carried in the department, including differences in price, taste, preparation, and use.
• Prepare food items according to procedures.
• Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked department.

• High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
• Proficient computer skills, including email and spreadsheets.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Accounting and bookkeeping skills.
• Ability to interpret and analyze financials.
• Develop and manage budgets.
• Delegate, direct, and implement tasks.
• Suggestive selling and knowledge of products.
• Detail-oriented.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
