The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents of all ages in our long-term care facility. As a member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will work under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician to deliver compassionate and individualized care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care for residents, including administering medications, treatments, and performing testing to evaluate resident status.
- Contribute to the assessment of residents and develop care plans that meet their unique needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
- Document resident interactions, outcomes, and care provided, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Participate in education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Hold an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with the State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
- Meet department-specific competencies and certifications, completing required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training.
