Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Repair Technician to join our team at International Machine Tool &. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repair and service, with experience working on heavy equipment and CNC machines.

The Machine Repair Technician will be responsible for performing mechanical services on equipment, both customer and company owned, at job sites or in the shop. This includes diagnosing and repairing equipment, troubleshooting and repairing systems/machines, and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair equipment in the shop or at customer sites.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical/electrical systems/machines on and off site.
  • Initiate and complete all associated paperwork for the service and/or repair.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by understanding customer needs and time constraints.
  • Ensure equipment is cleaned, greased, and in proper operation.
  • Perform all service calls in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Adhere to manager's and lead mechanic's directions regarding all repairs and service calls.

Requirements:

  • High school education or equivalent with a technical background or additional training preferred.
  • Three to five years' mechanical experience with heavy equipment and a strong working knowledge of CNC machines and electronic/electrical systems.
  • Good decision-making and creative thinking skills.
  • Good problem-solving, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good customer service skills and ability to meet and/or exceed customer expectations.
  • Good listening and verbal communication skills.
  • A working knowledge of safety rules, laws, and regulations concerning engine service, hydraulics, electrical, technical functions of various components, and tooling procedures and capabilities.

  • Report all accidents and near misses to supervisor.
  • Actively participate in safety meetings.
  • Keep tools in a good and safe condition.
