We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate nanny to provide support and assistance to an adult with developmental needs. As a member of our team at Wyndy, Inc., you will play a vital role in promoting independence, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and engaging in meaningful social and recreational activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily support and assistance to the adult with developmental needs, including assistance with daily activities, personal care, and mobility.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote independence and meet the unique needs of the adult.
- Ensure a safe and nurturing environment by maintaining a clean and organized living space, and providing a healthy and balanced diet.
- Engage in meaningful social and recreational activities with the adult, such as hobbies, outings, and community events.
- Communicate effectively with the adult, their family, and other caregivers to ensure seamless care and support.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of the adult's care, including medical information, daily activities, and progress notes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g. special education, nursing) preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with adults with developmental needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform daily tasks and activities.
- CPR and first aid certifications preferred.
