Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Thermal & Specialized Solutions team at Chemours. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end capital project implementation and ensuring project results align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Translate business objectives into capital project objectives
  • Ensure project success, including project cost and investment, by evaluating non-capital alternatives
  • Set overall project team direction and expectations
  • Manage project expenditures and schedule to meet business expectations
  • Provide primary interface between the project team and business unit steering team
  • Drive capital project work processes and practices
  • Lead gatekeeping reviews and ensure front-end deliverables are met
  • Ensure commissioning and turnover plans are prepared
Requirements:
  • BS degree or higher in an engineering discipline
  • 3+ years of engineering project management experience
  • Self-managing, proactive
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in an industrial setting
  • Experience working in the chemicals industry
  • Experience working in a phase-gate project process
