Key Responsibilities:
Conduct echocardiograms, stress tests, stress echoes, and Dobutamine stress echoes.
Assist cardiologists with transesophageal echocardiograms.
Collaborate with cardiologists for test result interpretations. Maintain accurate records of testing for documentation.
Provide daily accounts of patient charge requisitions with appropriate ICD9 codes.
Offer training and serve as a resource for echocardiogram students, residents, and physicians.
Facilitate testing for emergency patients.
Ensure complete and up-to-date documentation and files at all times, including products and service quotes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements:
Completion of a two (2) year cardiovascular technologist program. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Ability to empathize with patients and their families.
Certifications:
Active Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) registry status from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).

Work Experience:

Possess good vision to analyze computer screens and recordings for diagnostic purposes.
Exhibit sound judgment in high-pressure emergency situations.
Maintain adequate mathematical skills for accurate record-keeping and reporting.
Physical Duties:
Moderate lifting and positioning of patients.
Moderate pushing and pulling of equipment.
Working Conditions:
100% air-conditioned environment.
Moderate risk of exposure to blood or airborne pathogens.
