As a Cardiac Care Specialist, you will have the unique opportunity to work in our cutting-edge cardiac catheterization lab. Your role will involve participating in various cardiac procedures, including catheterizations and electrophysiology tests, all while ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Support nursing staff and other healthcare professionals during patient procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
  • Maintain an organized and well-stocked lab environment, adhering to quality control protocols.
  • Perform essential monitoring and scrubbing duties throughout procedures.
  • Prepare patients for their procedures and assist with their post-procedure recovery.

Qualifications for Success:

  • A certificate from an accredited cardiovascular technology program or equivalent education.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Preferred: Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (RCVT) and prior experience in a catheterization lab.

Essential Duties:

  • Conduct basic EKG interpretations and recognize arrhythmias.
  • Monitor arterial and venous pressures, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Assist in acute cardiac care and demonstrate aseptic techniques throughout all procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safety protocols at all times.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves physical demands, including lifting and moving patients and equipment. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently.
