As a Pharmacy Technician, your role will involve proactive telephonic outreach to UHC Medicare members, as well as their healthcare providers and pharmacies, aimed at improving health quality outcomes such as medication adherence and appropriate drug utilization. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a pharmacy team that emphasizes both clinical and business collaboration, within a supportive team culture that encourages continuous learning and growth.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm CST
Work Environment: This role offers a hybrid-remote arrangement for residents of Illinois, requiring only one day per month onsite, while the remaining days can be worked remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct telephonic outreach to enhance health quality outcomes in partnership with clinical pharmacists.
- Engage with healthcare providers and pharmacies through additional telephonic communication.
- Evaluate and interpret customer needs, directing them to a clinical pharmacist when necessary.
- Make outbound calls to members to enhance their experience and address barriers to medication adherence.
- Document and monitor member interactions effectively.

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher).
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in Illinois.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a pharmacy technician.
- Basic proficiency in navigating MS Office and a Windows-based environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in retail and/or mail order pharmacy settings.
- Familiarity with Part D claims adjudication.
