Position Overview
The Speech & Language Pathologist plays a crucial role in enhancing communication abilities. This position involves providing and supervising speech and language therapy interventions across diverse settings to help clients achieve their highest potential in functional communication.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assess and evaluate clients' communication capabilities and develop tailored speech and language treatment plans based on specific objectives, delivered in both individual and group formats.
2. Collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring seamless communication and consultation.
3. Maintain comprehensive documentation, including progress reports and treatment strategies, as required.
4. Assess the necessity for augmentative communication tools and offer training and support to families, educators, and caregivers regarding their effective use.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree from an accredited institution specializing in speech-language pathology.
- Valid state licensure in audiology or speech-language pathology.
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
- Proficient in utilizing personal computers and relevant software applications.
