Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough pre-shift and post-shift inspections on all production machinery during your shift and document findings on daily confirmation sheets.
  • Complete pre-operation equipment inspection forms for any machinery utilized during your shift.
  • Adhere to all company safety and health protocols.
  • Complete MSHA, U.S. Silica, Jackson Plant, and all Task Training prior to executing daily job responsibilities.
  • Maintain cleanliness in high-traffic areas, ensuring they are free from trash, debris, tools, hoses, or other miscellaneous items, using appropriate cleaning methods for oil and lubricant spills.
  • Comply with all relevant standards related to Environmental Compliance.
  • Perform quality assessments while operating machinery on a scheduled basis to uphold quality specifications.
  • Make necessary adjustments to equipment as required.
  • Inspect work areas and machinery before commencing tasks.
  • Fabricate equipment and facilities as needed.
  • Install new machinery and facilities using blueprints, schematic diagrams, and installation manuals.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance on all machinery according to established schedules and procedures.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment and machinery issues.
  • Determine appropriate methods and materials for repairs.
  • Utilize cranes, hoisting apparatus, and powered vehicles to transport and position equipment as necessary.
  • Assist Electrical staff when required.

Qualifications:

  • Strong industrial background is essential.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call schedule is required.
  • Availability to work a 10-day on – 4-day off schedule is necessary.
  • Must successfully pass welding, torch cutting, plasma cutting, and pipe fitting assessments.
  • Preferred experience of three to five years with the following skills and equipment:
    • Motor/Shaft alignment.
    • Drill Press operation.
    • Welding and Cutting Torch usage.
    • Plasma Cutting proficiency.
    • Pipe Fitting experience.
    • Experience in a mining environment is advantageous.
