Maintenance Technician

HTI is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team in Columbia, SC. This is a direct hire opportunity for a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician, offering a competitive hourly rate of up to $36.00/hour, plus a $2.00 shift differential for night shift work. The technician will work a 12-hour night shift schedule from 6pm-6:30am and enjoy excellent benefits opportunities.
Relocation assistance is available for interested candidates outside of the area.

What You Need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Mechatronics Associate's degree is highly preferred.
- Two years of technical certification or technical military experience, or equivalent (four years) of work experience.
- PLC troubleshooting experience is essential.
- Experience troubleshooting AC/DC drives and high-speed computer-controlled production machinery is required.
- Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Suite and Computerized Maintenance Management, are necessary.
- Experience with 480 Volt / 3 Phase power distribution systems is a must.
Job Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain advanced production and facility equipment.
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintenance procedures to support the plant in achieving its business goals and objectives.
- Comply with all established job safety practices, policies, and procedures, including LOTO, hot work permits, confined space entry, and arc flash safety.
- Support and follow the plant's food safety program.
- Repair, troubleshoot, improve, and maintain high-speed production and packaging line equipment.
- Troubleshoot, adjust, and repair all electrical equipment, solid-state circuits, components, logic boards, transmitters, transducers, amplifiers, and complex timing and inspection devices.
- Complete predictive and preventative maintenance on assigned electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Identify inefficiencies and electrical problems and create work orders to resolve.
- Diagnose causes of malfunctions and correct them through programmable logic controls.
- Ensure efficient equipment operation through proper line control programming and proactively suggest methods to improve line performance.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair facility 480 Volts/3 phase power distribution and lighting services.
- Perform maintenance on high-speed inspection equipment and coders.
- Perform instrumentation calibrations.
