Retail Sales Specialist

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Sales Consultant is tasked with assisting Management in fostering a customer-centric and product-oriented sales environment, where our core values and guiding principles are integral to delivering an exceptional customer experience and optimizing profitability.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive for Results
- Achieves company sales targets by employing effective sales strategies and sharing product knowledge with customers; suggests merchandise options or assists in locating items based on customer preferences.
- Stays informed about ongoing sales and promotions; upholds pricing and visual merchandising standards.
- Ensures compliance with merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and other responsibilities as assigned by Management.
- Engages in visual merchandising initiatives including monthly store layouts and sales floor upkeep.
- Upholds the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles and standards as demonstrated in our sales techniques, providing a seamless omni-channel experience.
- Addresses customer inquiries promptly and effectively.
- Facilitates a swift and efficient checkout process, remaining knowledgeable about policies related to payments, coupon use, returns, and exchanges.
- Reinforces purchasing decisions at the register and meets add-on sales goals, including gift card promotions.
- Enrolls clients in the rewards program.
- Develops and maintains a loyal customer base through personalized service and wardrobe consultations.
- Familiarizes with current product fit and style selections available in-store and online.
- Maintains ongoing communication with clients through our clienteling tools; Style Connect and Customer Book.
- Aids in replenishment efforts to ensure the store remains well-stocked and inviting.
- Assists with locating fulfillment tasks.
- Contributes to visual merchandising directives, including floor setups, window displays, and signage placement as directed.
- Supports boutique cleanliness and organization.
- Encourages an inclusive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Seeks opportunities for personal development and actively requests feedback.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in retail or sales is preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent customer service abilities.
- Capable of learning or adapting to technology provided by the company.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to communicate effectively with customers, Associates, and Management.
- Regular attendance is essential to ensure adequate coverage to meet company objectives. Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Constant walking/standing for a percentage of an 8-hour shift.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. for 1-33% of an 8-hour shift.
- Frequent climbing for 34%-66% of an 8-hour shift.
