Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Survey CAD Technician to join our team at Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and modifying maps, drafting technical documents, and analyzing data to support our engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize Autodesk Civil 3D and Microstation to perform drafting tasks, including creating alignments, profiles, surfaces, grading objects, cross sections, and pipe networks.
  • Use data from topographic surveys, record drawings, and utility maps to create engineering base maps.
  • Prepare construction drawings for water distribution, waste water collection, drainage/storm sewer systems, and roadway improvements.
  • Analyze sketches, notes, and other input material to determine and plan the best approach to develop and complete drawings with minimal supervision.
  • Complete redlines for modification of existing plans and notes or preparation of new details or design elements.
  • Communicate design concerns with project managers and inform Project Manager(s) and CAD Manager of progress on assigned projects.
  • Support multiple projects when needed and ensure timely completion of assignments.
  • Understand and use established company standards for drafting, including layers, line types, and text styles.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of CAD software, including Autodesk Civil 3D and Microstation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to support multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
