Job Title: Estimator, Hazleton

H&K Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Estimator to support public and private projects throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy civil construction and excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit high-quality estimates within tight deadlines
  • Analyze plans and specifications to determine project scope, staffing requirements, and resource allocation
  • Solicit bids and negotiate contracts with subcontractors
  • Direct and coordinate project activities to ensure timely completion and budget adherence
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent in a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, with a focus on estimating
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and specialized project software
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, with a focus on estimating
  • Certified Professional Engineer (PE) designation
  • OSHA and/or other applicable safety certifications and training
