Estimator, Hazleton

The H&K Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Estimator to support public and private projects throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in planning, directing, and coordinating project activities to ensure goals are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.

• Perform all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies
• Solicit and maintain positive relationships with potential and current clients
• Analyze plans and specifications to determine time frame, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing projects
• Prepare and submit quality estimates within the provided time frame
• Solicit bids and negotiate contracts with subcontractors
• Evaluate and prepare pricing for change orders
• Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
• Five years of experience in Heavy Civil Construction relevant to this region
• Driver's license and clean driving record
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Proficient computer skills, including internet and Microsoft Office
