Job Summary:

North Alabama Bone and Joint is seeking a skilled Part Time X-ray Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining x-ray machines, determining individual techniques for ordered examinations, and positioning patients properly. Your attention to detail and ability to project a professional image will be essential in providing quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain x-ray machines to ensure optimal performance and safety
Determine individual technique for ordered examination and position patient properly to minimize radiation exposure
Perform procedures by verbally confirming with the patient before beginning a procedure
Properly shield patients for all examinations to prevent unnecessary radiation exposure
Produce quality x-rays with correct patient ID and markings to ensure accurate diagnosis
Escort patients from the lobby to treatment rooms, x-ray waiting, brace shop, etc.
Assist the healthcare team in clinic as needed to provide comprehensive patient care
Maintain wheelchairs, including proper maintenance and sanitization to ensure a clean and safe environment

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required
ARRT license required
Knowledge of radiologic standards, requirements, and regulations
Thorough knowledge of Orthopedic terminology and anatomy

Physical Demands:

Frequent standing, walking, grasping, carrying, reaching, bending, and stooping
Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds or greater
Exposure to radiation, which is minimized by the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and monitored by radiation badges
