Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at PeaceHealth Peace Harbor Medical Center in Florence, Oregon. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing and performing standard x-ray examinations, as well as performing fluoroscopic procedures and portable examinations. You will also be responsible for utilizing proper positioning and selecting appropriate technical factors using various radiographic equipment to obtain optimal results.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepares for and performs standard x-ray examinations and may perform fluoroscopic procedures.
Performs portable examinations and may perform surgical x-ray procedures.
Utilizes proper positioning and selection of appropriate technical factors using various radiographic equipment to obtain optimal results.
Integrates previous imaging studies, laboratory results, patient history, and medical records to optimize exam.
Performs x-ray examinations applying appropriate infection control and radiation safety measures.
Applies ALARA principle to ensure appropriate radiation safety for self, patient, and visitor.
Evaluates patient for pregnancy prior to exam as indicated.

Requirements:

Accredited School Required: Radiologic Technology.
ARRT eligible, ARRT(R) certification required within 6 months of hire. May work under OBMI Temporary license pending ARRT certification.
Registered with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI). Must maintain active registry with the state of Oregon OBMI.
Demonstrated venipuncture competency.
PACS/RIS knowledge.
Basic Life Support.

PeaceHealth requires a completed Primary Vaccine Series (e.g., 2 dose monovalent Pfizer, Moderna or Novavax series or 1 dose J&J vaccine series) or be Up to Date (receiving the most recent Pfizer/Moderna bivalent vaccine/booster) for COVID-19 vaccination prior to their start date.
