About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Case Manager to join our team at the State of Indiana. As a Family Case Manager, you will play a critical role in protecting families and children from abuse and neglect, while also working to maintain or reunify families whenever possible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate reported incidents of child abuse, neglect, or dependency, and develop recommendations for disposition.
  • Assess the level of risk to the child and remove them from the family if necessary, placing them in a protected environment.
  • Perform needs assessments to determine treatment options for families and children.
  • Testify and prepare reports for the community child protection team.
  • Develop case plans to assist families and children in becoming self-sufficient in a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Monitor and assess service capability treatment programs and providers to ensure consistency with the case plan.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet one of the following education/experience requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Associate degree with a minimum of two years of human services job experience.
  • Completion of thirty college credit hours from an accredited institution with a minimum of four years of human services job experience.
  • A minimum of five years of human services job experience.
