Position Summary: In the role of a CNC Operator (Swiss), you will be integral to our production line, managing computer numerical control (CNC) machinery to ensure the creation of superior products. Your skills will be vital in streamlining operations and meeting our organizational objectives effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ascertain machining requirements.
  • Identify and implement machining techniques from design to finished product.
  • Set up and secure workpieces, cutting tools, and materials on CNC Swiss equipment.
  • Operate machinery by loading and unloading components, adjusting parameters, and overseeing production processes.
  • Ensure product quality by monitoring operations, troubleshooting issues, and replacing worn-out tools as necessary.
  • Utilize measurement instruments to confirm that finished products meet specified standards.
  • Maintain a tidy and safe workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Keep accurate production and quality records, collaborating with engineering teams to address machining challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 2 years in manufacturing with a focus on Swiss CNC operations is essential.
  • Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, mechanical understanding, ability to read and interpret technical documents, and knowledge of lean manufacturing practices.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Star, Spring, or Tsugami CNC machines is preferred.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively, openness to new ideas, and a positive, adaptable attitude.
  • Cultural Fit: Values such as respect, honesty, accountability, and optimism are essential.

Physical Demands:

  • Capability to operate a vehicle for travel.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, sit at a workstation, use a keyboard and monitor, and perform various physical tasks.
  • Capacity to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally.
