Position Summary
The IT Operations Supervisor is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for the management and oversight of the IT infrastructure, telecommunications, and end-user computing systems for the Alaska business unit.

Key Responsibilities
As part of a dynamic IT team, your primary duties will include:

  • Establishing effective governance and management of IT services within your portfolio, ensuring transparent reporting of service delivery.
  • Proactively recommending enhancements to simplify and standardize operations in alignment with the company's IS strategy.
  • Overseeing technology interfaces between IT and production operations.
  • Maintaining accurate forecasts and managing budgets effectively.
  • Collaborating with global IT peers to address company-wide IT-related challenges and opportunities.
  • Ensuring the regional IS infrastructure is maintained efficiently, whether on-site or in a data center.
  • Managing the delivery of end-user computing services through internal staff and third-party providers.
  • Implementing successful change management procedures for all IT operations activities.
  • Maintaining and testing business continuity plans for IT operations.
  • Working closely with cybersecurity teams to address any operational concerns.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with third-party support providers to ensure effective support.
  • Ensuring that service level agreements (SLAs) are identified and met for third-party contracts.
  • Maintaining clear communication with IT leadership regarding operational issues.

Team Development
In this role, you will also be responsible for:

  • Identifying areas for professional development among team members.
  • Collaborating with the team to establish SMART KPIs and conducting regular performance reviews.
  • Leading integration efforts between local and broader IT operations teams to enhance efficiency.

Project Integration Management
Your responsibilities will extend to:

  • Managing the integration of telecommunications project activities with IT operations.
  • Overseeing technology interfaces for all development projects.
  • Preparing for and receiving permanent IT and telecommunications infrastructure from development projects.
  • Understanding staffing needs for the operations and maintenance team to support development projects effectively.

Qualifications
A bachelor's degree or relevant system administration certification is required. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

Essential Skills
Candidates should possess:

  • Experience in technology project management.

Highly Regarded Skills
Additional skills that will be advantageous include:

  • Experience within an incident management team.
  • Knowledge of the PURDUE model for ICS security.

Experience Requirements
Applicants should have:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in client/customer-facing environments.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing and developing teams.

Preferred Experience
Experience in collaboration across various organizational levels and previous exposure to the oil and gas sector will be highly regarded.
