Key Responsibilities

  • HEARTS
    • Welcoming every JOANN customer and utilizing the F.A.S.T. service model to meet their needs.
    • Engaging in friendly conversations with customers about their projects while serving them at the cutting counter, cash register, and sales floor.
  • HANDS
    • Processing customer transactions at the cutting counter and cash register in an efficient and friendly manner with professionalism and precision.
    • Lifting, placing, and arranging items on shelves and racks.
  • MINDS
    • Inviting customers to participate in store activities such as Education Classes, Custom Framing, and other events.
    • Proactively driving sales through product knowledge, active selling techniques, suggesting services, and building strong customer relationships to the JOANN brand.
  • INSPIRE
    • Working closely with Store Management to identify key tasks and assisting in delegating them to Team Members.
    • Collaborating with other Team Members or store management on projects in a professional manner.

Physical Demands

  • Standing during an entire shift (other than normal break time).
  • Continuously walking around all areas of the store throughout the shift.
  • Reading written instructions, reports, and other information on paper and computer screens.
  • Orally communicating with customers and other team members on a consistent basis throughout the shift.

Expected Availability

Part-time status requires availability that meets the needs of the store. Part-time Team Members are generally scheduled to work less than an average of 28 hours per week in a measurement period. Full-time status requires open availability and the ability to work at least an average of 36 hours per week over the course of a year.

Education & Experience

Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum - 1+ years of supervisory experience in a customer-centric environment.
