Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Special Inspector to join our team at Universal Engineering Sciences. As a Special Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting inspections and testing of construction materials to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to various job sites to conduct inspections and testing
- Perform observations, field testing, and inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Document field activity and report findings to clients and supervisors
- Communicate with various field personnel and coworkers to ensure effective collaboration
- Communicate with managers and demonstrate commitment as a team player, organizing work and managing time effectively
Requirements:
- ICC Reinforced Concrete and ACI Field Testing certifications
- At least 1 year of relevant experience
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to read and write, and ability to use a computer
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one certification, such as ICC Structural Masonry, ICC Structural Steel, and Bolting, ICC Prestressed Concrete, ICC Certified Commercial Building Inspector, DSA Masonry Special Inspector, DSA Shotcrete Special Inspector
- Previous experience performing special inspections on at least one type of construction material (such as soils, masonry, concrete, structural steel)
