Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing and driving the modernization and operation of the facility through maintenance projects.
  • Developing and maintaining accurate AutoCAD and spreadsheet documentation of all MEP and other building systems.
  • Serving as a technical resource to the maintenance supervisor, trade staff, and other project managers on building utilities and codes.
  • Assisting in various troubleshooting efforts with maintenance staff and internal customers.
  • Managing the cost, schedule, and quality performance requirements of multiple projects through all phases from inception to completion.
  • Coordinating with various internal and external parties to prepare for and execute successful projects.
  • Executing the preparation of all capital and expense projects, including work orders, work statements and specifications, operating budget, and financial terms/conditions of contracts.
  • Responsible for customer satisfaction, maintaining customer communication, and the overall management of customer relationships.
  • Development and management of financial forecasts meeting functional organization AOP (Annual Operating Plan) and CIP (Capital Improvement Plan) budgets.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar with 5-10 years of experience.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to effectively manage and partner with contractors, vendors, and team members.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws/regulations, including those mandated by OSHA, ADA, NFPA, NEC, EPS, and local building codes.
  • Experience working with engineering blueprints, process specifications, and building layouts.
  • AutoCAD proficiency.
  • Ability to clearly and succinctly convey information and ideas, including strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to design circuitry and panelboards for lighting, receptacles, HVAC, and other equipment, based on nameplate values, standard industry practices, and code compliance.
Preferred Skills:
  • Facilities certifications (FMP Facilities Management Professional, CFM Certified Facilities Professional, PE Professional Engineer, LEED AP).
  • Project management skills coupled with the ability to effectively manage and partner with contractors, vendors, and team members.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws/regulations, including those mandated by OSHA, ADA, NFPA, NEC, EPS, and local building codes.
  • Experience working with engineering blueprints, process specifications, and building layouts.
  • AutoCAD proficiency.
  • Ability to clearly and succinctly convey information and ideas, including strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to design circuitry and panelboards for lighting, receptacles, HVAC, and other equipment, based on nameplate values, standard industry practices, and code compliance.
