Patient Care Assistant (PCA) - PRN
The Patient Care Assistant plays a crucial role in delivering essential patient support services under the guidance of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. This position involves executing patient care tasks within the designated scope of practice. The Patient Care Assistant does not administer medications or therapies and does not take independent responsibility for patient care. Responsibilities are carried out in alignment with the policies, procedures, and standards of Hope Community Resources, Inc. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Training: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) is required in accordance with state regulations. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
Experience: No prior experience is necessary. However, a minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute care hospital, rehabilitation facility, or skilled nursing environment is preferred.
