Role of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

As a vital member of the senior leadership team, the CFO plays a crucial role in guiding the financial and operational strategies essential for achieving the facility's objectives. This position encompasses comprehensive oversight of all financial operations and daily fiscal management.

Key Responsibilities

In your capacity as CFO, you will be responsible for:
  • Ensuring timely and accurate completion of monthly financial statements.
  • Overseeing monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts in alignment with organizational policies.
  • Preparing essential corporate reports, including Monthly Operating Reports and Forecasts, with precision and punctuality.
  • Implementing robust accounting policies and internal controls to facilitate seamless audits.
  • Directing Revenue Cycle operations to optimize accounts receivable collection and minimize uncompensated care.
  • Engaging in Front End Revenue Cycle processes to guarantee thorough insurance verification for all patients.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of reimbursement methodologies to ensure accurate revenue recording.
  • Supervising various departments, ensuring they are well-staffed and trained to meet operational needs.
  • Monitoring compliance with purchasing contracts to maintain budgeted supply costs.
  • Preparing and analyzing the annual operating budget, contributing to strategic planning initiatives.
  • Managing capital budgets and ensuring accurate asset and depreciation records.
Qualifications

To be considered for the CFO role, candidates should possess:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related business field.
  • A minimum of three years of successful CFO experience within a healthcare environment.
  • Preferred experience in behavioral healthcare settings.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and familiarity with relevant software tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships with staff and stakeholders.
