Fabrication Specialist

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Fabricator to join their team in Des Moines, IA. As a Fabrication Specialist, you will play a vital role in the production process, ensuring the highest quality products meet client expectations.

Job Summary

This is a fully onsite position that requires a strong background in fabrication and machine operation. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a high level of productivity.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect structural steel parts and assemblies during pre-fabrication and post-fabrication.
  • Maintain formal documentation of all quality occurrences and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Mark products with identification and visual markings per Quality Control documentation.
  • Conduct and maintain documentation of pre-fabrication inspections, post-fabrication inspections, shop drawing corrections, tape measure calibration, mill tester calibration, and stud welding tests.
Requirements
  • MUST PASS COMPLIANCE TEST
  • Recent experience in a Production/Manufacturing Environment
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
