Compressor Technician Job Description

At Ohio Transmission Corporation, we are seeking a skilled Compressor Technician to join our team in Xenia, OH. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our air compressors and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair and maintain air compressors, pumps, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment
  • Diagnose issues and implement improvements for better performance
  • Ensure repaired equipment meets standards through testing and quality control
  • Keep accurate records of work done, parts used, and other relevant details
  • Source replacement parts promptly when needed
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and industry norms for a secure work environment
  • Communicate with clients regarding repair progress, provide estimates, and address their concerns
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with preference for vocational maintenance training
  • At least 1 year of experience in a multi-craft or maintenance tech role, preferably with compressor experience
  • Safety-conscious, technically savvy, detail-driven, and excellent customer service skills
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record, ability to pass drug tests and background checks
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with flexibility for on-call duty and overtime
