Position Summary:
The HR Specialist plays a pivotal role in managing various human resources functions to optimize the performance of the HR department. This position encompasses employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluation, compliance, and additional HR-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Onboarding:
    • Assist in crafting job descriptions and advertisements.
    • Screen applications, conduct interviews, and oversee the hiring process.

  • Employee Relations:

  • Compliance and Policy Management:
    • Ensure company policies align with local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Maintain and revise the employee handbook and HR documentation.
    • Oversee HR compliance audits and reporting obligations.
  • Compensation and Benefits:
    • Assist in managing compensation and benefits programs.
    • Provide employees with information regarding benefits and HR policies.
    • Support benefits enrollment and resolve related issues.
  • Training and Development:
    • Coordinate training sessions on various HR topics.
    • Identify training needs and support professional growth initiatives.
    • Maintain training records and assess the effectiveness of training programs.
  • HR Systems and Reporting:
    • Ensure accurate employee records are maintained in the HRIS.
    • Generate and analyze HR reports to support strategic decision-making.
    • Guarantee data integrity and confidentiality within HR systems.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Prepare and manage HR documentation, including contracts and disciplinary records.
    • Assist with payroll processing and timekeeping as necessary.
    • Support various HR projects and initiatives as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred.
  • 4 years of experience in HR or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is advantageous.
