Cardiac Technician I

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Technician I to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a Cardiac Technician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain and review patient history information prior to testing, preparing patients and explaining procedures as needed.
- Assist in answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, retrieving files, and relaying messages to clinicians, residents, and staff.
- Perform EKGs, edit directories, and perform basic computer tasks in MUSE Cardiovascular Information System.
- May complete billing as required.
- Perform exercise tolerance testing, including patient prep and explanation, under the direction of the physician.
- High School diploma or certificate.
- BLS certification required.
- One-year previous hospital/community experience.
- Basic arrhythmia competency expected to be completed within one year.
- Ability to effectively utilize computer information systems.
- Working knowledge of medical terms, abbreviations, and symbols.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to provide information to patients and prepare accurate documentation.
