As a New Grad RN, you will work in a fast-paced environment and be responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients, participating in a residency core curriculum, and establishing priorities for patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients, including assessing their needs, developing care plans, and implementing interventions.
- Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
- Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care, taking into account the acuity of need, patient preference, and resource availability.
- Respond to data indicating risk to patients' health and initiate action to correct, reduce, or prevent risk.
- Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
- Document in patients' medical records.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- New graduate RN or less than one year of RN work experience.
- Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN).
This role requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. You will also need to stand and walk for extended periods of time and work under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids is also a requirement of this role.
Personal Protective EquipmentYou will be required to follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
