Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Abdominal Imaging Specialist to enhance our esteemed radiology department. Our practice is dedicated to resident education, clinical research, and a commitment to equitable physician scheduling and remuneration, promoting a collaborative environment among our radiologists, residents, and technologists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Expertise Required:
- Proficient in real-time ultrasound scanning
- Experience with peripheral vascular ultrasound
- Skilled in performing thyroid biopsies
- Knowledgeable in ultrasound contrast and elastography
- Expertise in spectral CT imaging
- Proficient in prostate and rectal MRI
- Experience with fluoroscopy procedures
- Educational Contributions:
- Engage with a premier radiology residency program comprising 26 residents
- Contribute to research initiatives and educational activities, mentoring medical students and residents
- Participate in new interventional radiology and diagnostic radiology residency programs
- Collaborate with the Sidney Kimmel Medical School of Thomas Jefferson University
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in a peer learning program with academic quality assurance activities
- Manageable on-call rotations
Department Highlights:
- Handles over 400,000 cases annually
- Equipped with state-of-the-art technology:
- 6 MRI scanners, including two 3T units
- 9 CT scanners featuring advanced software
- Leading-edge Philips Epiq ultrasound systems
- Utilizes various software systems to ensure efficient workflow
- Collaborative environment with 30 full-time radiologists
- Work alongside a dedicated team of 9 abdominal imaging specialists
Minimum Qualifications:
- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Completion of a radiology residency program
- Abdominal or body imaging fellowship or equivalent experience
- 0-3 years of experience in radiology or abdominal imaging
- Required licenses and certifications
