Key Responsibilities- Patient Care
- Assist medical providers with day-to-day patient care and management
- Ensure accurate and complete patient information in the electronic health record
- Prepare patients for examination and treatment, including taking vital signs and documenting patient history
- Administrative Support
- Respond to patient communications and questions in a timely manner
- Prepare and maintain exam and treatment rooms, including cleaning and sterilizing equipment
- Assist with scheduling tests and treatments, and processing referrals to other providers
- Clinical Support
- Administer injections and assist with examinations and office procedures as needed
- Perform suture removals and other patient care services as directed by medical providers
- Verify patient information and record tissue specimens in the electronic health record
- Communication and Teamwork
- Communicate effectively with patients, medical providers, and other staff members
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
- Education and Experience
- High school graduate or equivalent required; current certification preferred
- One year of medical experience in a physician's office or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred
- Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge of medical practice operations and patient care standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
- Physical Abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds
- Normal range of hearing and eyesight required
The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment. The position requires the ability to work under pressure on multiple tasks with a diverse population, including staff, physicians, clients, patients, insurance companies, and other members of the public on a regular basis.
