Key Responsibilities:

• Support the comprehensive sales strategy for the shop, including a promotional plan that utilizes various communication methods to reach potential customers.

• Provide assistance and constructive feedback to the Not New Shop Manager and Lead regarding merchandise and sales strategies.

• Aid in product merchandising efforts, including in-store and window displays, while training volunteers to assist as needed.

• Collaborate with the Manager, Coordinator, and Supervisor to support special sales initiatives.

• Ensure merchandise is restocked as necessary.

• Work closely with Not New Shop volunteers, offering training and support while effectively delegating responsibilities to foster strong working relationships.

• Assist in achieving the financial and operational objectives of the gift shops, understanding the overall strategy and budget while adhering to operational policies.

• Help with product receipt, donations, pricing, merchandising, and inventory management.

• Support the Not New Shop Manager and Lead in executing the daily operations of the Gift Shops.

• Demonstrate the ability to adhere to the department's work schedule.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED is required.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in retail, particularly in a thrift shop setting, along with experience in supervising volunteers or employees.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Valid driver's license is required when operating any vehicle for work-related purposes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Proficient in computer applications, including Outlook and Microsoft Office.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire and engage volunteers and staff.

• Vision for the growth and development of Volunteer Services.

• Exceptional time management skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 25-35 pounds.

Additional Information:

• Familiarity with Point of Sale systems is preferred.
