Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Relationship Banker II to join our team at Trustmark. As a key member of our sales and service team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers, identifying their financial needs, and providing tailored solutions to meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers to understand their financial needs and provide personalized solutions.
  • Sales and Service: Utilize proactive sales and service efforts to identify opportunities to deepen customer relationships and increase sales.
  • Transaction Processing: Process a variety of cash and non-cash transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and wire transfers, while ensuring accuracy and security.
  • Cash Handling: Maintain and balance a cash drawer, handling cash transactions and ensuring adequate cash supplies.
  • Account Management: Open, close, and maintain customer accounts, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Performance Metrics: Meet and exceed sales and referral goals, while providing exceptional customer service and utilizing opportunities to transform service into sales.
  • Leadership and Development: Provide coaching, training, and guidance to other Relationship Bankers and Tellers, as needed, to ensure high levels of performance and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum 12 months face-to-face customer service experience and 12 months sales experience required.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to learn internal technology systems and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Qualifications: Ability to meet sales goals in a retail environment, basic computer skills, and a strong understanding of basic math concepts and principles.
