Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Processing Technician to join our team at Rose Acre Farms. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our egg grader equipment, performing routine maintenance and repairs, and maintaining a safe and organized working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform regular maintenance and repairs on egg grader equipment, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspection.
  • Assist in ensuring that the grader is properly cleaned and maintained each day.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the egg grader to identify and address any issues or concerns.
  • Repair and replace broken parts, including washers, transfer, and packers.
  • Assist in monitoring and adjusting carton and box dating to ensure accuracy and legibility.
  • Ensure that the grader is adequately staffed for the entire week and that all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Comply with all Federal, State, and Local directives and regulations related to egg processing and animal welfare.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure smooth operation of the egg grader.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary mechanical or technical training preferred.
  • Ability to perform routine math calculations, including percentages and fractions.
  • Experience in all phases of egg grader mechanical functions, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
  • Computer literacy and ability to learn new software and systems.
  • Dependability and ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to quickly address critical and urgent situations in a timely and consistent manner.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced agricultural environment, indoors and outdoors, and will be required to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders to access equipment. The position requires the ability to work in an open office setting and maintain professionalism with colleagues.
