Job Summary

As an Emergency Medical Technician at Prisma Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and transportation services. Your primary responsibility will be to assess, transport, and administer basic life support treatment to patients in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify the operational readiness of vehicles and equipment.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of MCAS vehicles.
  • Respond promptly to calls received from the dispatch center.
  • Operate MCAS vehicles in a safe, courteous, and efficient manner.
  • Assess, monitor, transport, and provide necessary medical treatment.
  • Prepare written documentation in a complete, timely, and accurate manner.
  • Function at a high level of efficiency.
  • Demonstrate skill proficiency on an annual basis.
  • Maintain professional certifications by attending in-service training programs.
  • Attend staff meetings and comply with employee health requirements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an approved EMT or EMT-Intermediate training program.
  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable five-year motor vehicle record.
  • SC Emergency Medical Tech Basic certification.
  • National Registry of EMT certification.
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
